Why a Greek column?

Everything you may find here is not necessarily ionic (the proper name) or ironic.  The name comes from an early (sixth grade) obsession with Greek architecture and myths.  That influence shows up in many ways.  As a technology manager, I had the power to assign servers and computers nonstandard names (not without some static from those who preferred normal names) and therefore named one of my servers Orpheus and the computers I used to work with it Eurydice and Calliope.  The column in the header is a real column on an existing building.   I once worked at a desk located in the window directly behind the column and thought of it as my personal ironic column.
